Time has elapsed and we have to part company and as it is; is very sad to do the needful because of its briefness and while there is so much to do and learn from this course.
We have learned today to insert photos, tags and links for our stories. It is hard but we have managed to see the other side of publishing online.
We have seen how blog editing and update are done online.
Much as the training is interesting it is our general belief that the time alloted is very little and we were in a rush. It is true to say most journos are not conversant with desk top publishing including the photo shopping and picture cropping and thus at least every subject requires a full day to be conversant with and produce a meaningful product. A full week is the recommended time allotment. The course has just been an eye opener and it will need further training to be meaningful to our news rooms. The instructor tried his level best in a limited time.
